About Troop 351
Troop 351 is one of four troops in the City of San Marino. We are part of the Rose Bowl District of the San Gabriel Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America. We welcome boys from all local communities to join in the fun. Troop 351 uses the patrol method, full Scout participation and guidance from Troop parent volunteers in order to help Scouts build and maintain a sense of determination, motivation, self-awareness and leadership skills.
In order to accommodate the Scouts’ busy schedules, Troop 351 maintains an active merit badge program that provides access to a wide variety of merit badges. Merit badge classes are typically held right after Troop meetings and are conducted at the San Marino Scout House. With annual service projects such as the City of San Marino’s Christmas Around the Drive and frequent Eagle Scout projects, Troop 351 offers abundant community service opportunities.
Scouts in Troop 351 pursue each rank advancement at their own pace. Once the requirements for a particular rank are completed, the Scout is responsible for scheduling a Scoutmaster Conference, along with a Board of Review through the Troop Advancement Chairperson, Ms. Elsa Jauregui. Scoutmaster Conferences and Board of Reviews are required for advancement to the next higher Scout rank.
