Troop Meetings

Troop 351 meets Sunday afternoons at the San Marino Scout House and goes on at least one outing a month.

Outings range from hikes in the local mountains, backpacking at Sequoia Falls in Northern California, rafting on the Colorado River to rock climbing at Joshua Tree National Park. Each summer, Troop 351 attends a week of summer camp at a designated Boy Scout summer camp. In the past, Troop 351 has attended summer camp at Cherry Valley on Catalina Island, Holcomb Valley and Lost Valley.

About Troop 351

We are a High Adventure troop. Sampling of yearly activities include:

  • White water rafting on the Kern River
  • Backpacking Pacific Crest Trail
  • Hiking a segment of the John Muir Trail each summer
  • Rock Climbing in Joshua Tree NP
  • Exploring Death Valley NP and Mojave Deserts /rocketry
  • Skiing and snowboarding in winter
  • Surfing/beach hike trip to Jalama Beach
  • Canoeing on the Colorado River and Alamitos Bay
